Broadband Survey in conjunction with Wokingham Chamber of Commerce and Wokingham Borough Council

Are you frustrated by slow broadband speeds especially in the Wokingham area?

Efficient communications have never been more vital to business and domestic consumers than they are today. Both Wokingham Chamber of Commerce and Wokingham Borough Council are concerned about the telecommunications infra structure and the effect that a poor infra structure in certain parts of the Borough is having on the efficiency of doing business in these areas and with other areas.

For most people in the Borough, the broadband is delivered down the phone wiring  and speeds vary widely even in comparatively small areas and by time of day. For example, do you get anything like the claimed BT Infinity speeds of 20Mbps plus? This campaign sets out to find out what is happening locally and what can be done about this.  It is all about finding out just how local companies and residents use their broadband links and how slow speeds affect what can be realistically done.

Using this information, both organisations will lobby  for improvements. And we will publish what we find from mid February so you know what the real picture is.

The only really easy way to analyse the data geographically  is by post code (full 8 characters) and this is why it is a mandatory field. We would also like to know a bit about how you use the broadband and  hope you will share this with us.

The study has 18 short questions and it shouldn't take you more than two minutes to complete. Please  link to the survey by clicking here. This overwrites the page and at the end you will  return to next page so you can help us further.

To do this, please go to More Help.

Many thanks for supporting our survey and of course the information you provide will be kept confidential by Thames Valley Chambers of Commerce
