How Dependent are Your Business Activities on Your Broadband?

 

 

My consultancy specialises in management consultancy with an accounting slant. Like your business, my business needs the internet to function. And to function properly it needs a reasonable broadband speed - one on which I can make video calls, watch seminars etc. Is this your need too?

 

And if you are a home worker for a company whose security requirements are high, you will find that you need a faster speed so that you pc and the company's servers remain constantly in touch and able to protect the information 

 

 

 A Key strategy for growth in this area of England is to develop more and more high value added services. These require a good communications infra structure and this was missing!

 

Working with the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce  and Wokingham Borough Council, I ran a study to find out what is really possible on our broadband in this area. We wanted to know if it is functionally fit for purpose?

 

 My consultancy does not profit directly from this study. Its reward is  being connected to the Internet at speeds that make it possible to do simple things like:-

1.        use YouTube for training materials
2.        make a SKYPE video call to my business contacts ,
3.        run my e mail more effectively.
4.        search for and down load information rapidly
